For this cup I designed its form based on the black form study shown on this page. I wanted to maintain a familiar mug form while manipulating one side of the mug. I used the slip casting process to produce multiples and used a white stoneware as the clay body.

This form study was from an assignment where a five sided form of clay had to be created while having at least one curve side and one flat side. This is the form that the mug derived from.
